Governed by Alberta LawBy creating an account or using AI Assessor, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. AI Assessor valuations are informational estimates only — they are not certified appraisals and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for legal, financial, or transactional decisions.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you") and AI Assessor ("Company," "we," "us") governing your access to and use of the platform at aiassessor.ca and any related services (collectively, the "Service").
By registering an account, clicking "I Agree," or otherwise accessing the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
AI Assessor provides AI-powered tools for estimating the value of Canadian farmland and agricultural assets. The platform includes:
The Service is provided as-is and is subject to change. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time with reasonable notice to registered users.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation:
We reserve the right to refuse refunds where there is evidence of misuse or policy violation.
You may upgrade your plan at any time; the upgrade takes effect immediately and you will be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing cycle. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension without refund.
Outputs from AI Assessor are informational baseline estimates generated by a machine learning model. They are not certified appraisals under the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC) standards and are not intended to replace professional appraisals for legal transactions, secured lending, estate settlement, or regulatory purposes.

AI Assessor is not a substitute for a certified appraisal in contexts that legally require one.
All content, software, AI models, algorithms, user interface designs, brand elements, and documentation comprising the Service are owned by or licensed to AI Assessor and are protected by Canadian copyright, trademark, and trade secret law.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own personal or internal business purposes in accordance with these Terms. This licence does not include the right to:
Valuation reports you generate using the Service are your property. You own your input data and your output reports.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AI ASSESSOR DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT: (A) THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE; (B) VALUATIONS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR RELIABLE; (C) THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS; OR (D) ANY ERRORS WILL BE CORRECTED.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE ALBERTA AND CANADIAN LAW, AI ASSESSOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR FINANCIAL LOSSES RESULTING FROM RELIANCE ON VALUATION ESTIMATES.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total fees paid by you to AI Assessor in the 12 months preceding the claim; or (b) CA$100.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory provisions of Alberta or Canadian consumer protection law.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AI Assessor and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any third-party rights.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@aiassessor.ca.
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice or refund, if we determine that you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or are using the Service in a manner that harms other users or the platform.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Edmonton, Alberta. Before commencing legal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting us at legal@aiassessor.ca and allowing 30 days for resolution.
AI Assessor uses machine learning models to generate property valuation estimates. You should be aware that:
You retain full control over how you use the valuation outputs. AI Assessor does not submit, file, or act on valuations on your behalf.
AI Assessor complies with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL, S.C. 2010, c. 23). By creating an account, you consent to receive the following electronic communications:
We do not send unsolicited marketing emails. If we introduce a newsletter or promotional emails in the future, you will be asked for explicit opt-in consent. Every commercial electronic message will include a clear unsubscribe mechanism that takes effect within 10 business days, as required by CASL.

AI Assessor shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemic, government orders, internet or telecommunications outages, cyberattacks, power failures, or disruptions to third-party services on which the platform depends (such as Supabase or Stripe).
In the event of a force majeure occurrence lasting more than 30 consecutive days, either party may terminate the affected subscription with a prorated refund for any prepaid but unused period.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will provide at least 14 days' notice of material changes by email to registered users and by posting updated Terms at aiassessor.ca/terms. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
